Aleksandra Topczewska


Aleksandra is a versatile saxophonist playing jazz, funk, soul and pop. Born in Poland she learnt playing the piano and then alto saxophone. During her University years she played in various jazz combos, big bands and pop and reggae groups around Poland and Germany.

Having moved to UK straight after graduation - BA(Mus) in Jazz Performance - she participated in many different projects. She played with contemporary and mainstream big bands, collaborated with vocalists and various artists, played in big bands and jazz combos around UK, (The Foyles, Ronnie Scotts, Pizza Express, Troy Bar, etc.).

She currently lives in London where she works as a musician and a music leader at Female Collective (a project established to create new role models and help bringing more female musicians to the jazz scene) in Southbank Centre.
